Erasmus+ courses in Spain for teachers

Six-day structured KA1 training in southern Spain, with an attendance certificate and Europass documentation, fully fundable through your school Erasmus+ grant.

Year after year, Spain is one of the most requested destinations for European teachers on an Erasmus+ KA1 mobility. EuryGo runs structured teacher training courses in Andalusia: six days of academic programme in small groups, an attendance certificate valid for your KA1 report and the corresponding Europass documentation.

We are not a platform reselling somebody else’s courses. We design, coordinate and deliver every programme ourselves, and we support the school with the paperwork before, during and after the mobility.

Why choose Spain for your Erasmus+ mobility?

  • The language. Spanish is the world’s second native language and has gained real weight in European curricula. A week of immersion gives your staff a context no online training reproduces, whether the course itself runs in Spanish or in English.
  • An education system worth observing. Powers devolved to seventeen autonomous regions, well-established bilingual programmes, dual vocational training and a distinctive approach to inclusion produce solutions that surprise teams coming from more uniform systems.
  • Air connections. Direct, affordable flights from almost every European capital, which cuts the real cost of travel and makes group logistics simple.
  • Cost of living. Erasmus+ subsistence rates stretch much further here than in central or northern Europe. In practice the net cost to the participant is usually zero.
  • A wide calendar. The southern climate lets you schedule mobilities from February to November without gambling on the weather — which matters when the trip has to fit the school calendar.

What you will learn on a KA1 course in Spain

Our programmes are built around three strands that match the Erasmus+ priorities and what European schools ask us for most often:

  • The Spanish education system from the inside. Structure, stages, competence-based assessment, bilingual models, and how national policy turns into different classroom practice depending on the region.
  • Artificial intelligence in teaching. Responsible use of AI tools to prepare materials, personalise tasks and assess, with clear criteria on privacy and on what should never be delegated to a machine.
  • Active methodologies. Project-based learning, cooperative work, formative assessment and managing a heterogeneous classroom — always as workshops, with material you take home ready to use.

Each day combines an academic session with a cultural programme. Cultural immersion is not decoration: intercultural competence is an explicit objective of Erasmus+ staff mobility.

How to fund the course with your Erasmus+ grant

A structured course in Spain is funded entirely from your school KA1 budget. There are two routes: if your school is accredited (KA121), from its annual plan; if it is not, through a short-term mobility project (KA122).

  • Course fees: up to €80 per participant per day, capped at €800 per participant and activity.
  • Travel: a flat amount based on the distance band between your town and the destination, with a green-travel top-up.
  • Individual support: a daily rate per participant based on the destination country, travel days included.
  • Organisational support: an additional amount granted to the school per participant.

At the end you receive the attendance certificate and the Europass documentation — exactly what your National Agency asks for in the final report.

Where in Spain our courses take place

All our programmes run in Andalusia, specifically in the province of Cádiz: most of them in Jerez de la Frontera and some in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, on the coast twenty-five minutes away. That is a deliberate choice: we would rather know one territory properly and deliver a real, well-resolved experience than scatter the offer across half the country.

Jerez has its own international airport (XRY), sits just over an hour from Seville (SVQ) and about two from Málaga (AGP), and is compact enough to walk all week. For the full argument, read Jerez as an Erasmus+ destination.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take an Erasmus+ course in Spain if my school is not accredited?

Yes. If your school has no KA121 accreditation, it can apply for a KA122 short-term mobility project, which covers exactly this kind of activity.

Are the courses taught in Spanish or in English?

It depends on the course. Every course page states the language of instruction clearly. We run programmes entirely in English for groups with no Spanish, and programmes in Spanish for those looking for language immersion.

How much of the course fee does the KA1 grant cover?

The programme assigns that line up to 80 euros per participant per day, capped at 800 euros per participant and activity. Most quality structured courses are priced above that, and schools balance the difference against the travel and individual support lines: what counts when you plan is the grant total.

Do I need to speak Spanish to attend?

Not if you choose a course delivered in English. Documentation, materials and on-site support are all available in English.

How many editions run each year?

Several per course across the year, avoiding the hottest months. Open dates appear on each course page, and we can open a tailored edition for a full group if your school needs different dates.

What documentation do I get at the end?

An attendance certificate detailing hours and content, valid for your KA1 project report, together with the corresponding Europass documentation.
